  • Head Chef Richard Barber’s infectious enthusiasm for food filters down through his team of dedicated Chefs. With this drive and burning ambition they are constantly creating new dishes keeping the menus fresh and exciting.

    Richard takes time to source quality local suppliers which allows him to obtain the best produce of the season. Some of the ones he has found invaluable are White Peak Butchery, J. Wilde Rare Breed Meats, Middleton Dairies and the Derbyshire Mushroom Company.

    After completing his Professional Chefs Diploma at Sheffield College Richard gained experience in Rosette restaurants, five star hotels and came to Derbyshire in 2009. Now settled into his role Richard admits “The best thing about working in Derbyshire is the abundance of good quality local produce.”
