Weston Park Cancer Charity
Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity exists to support the work of Weston Park Hospital, one of only four dedicated cancer hospitals in England. Weston Park Hospital provides cancer treatment services for patients across the region – and that means Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Worksop and Chesterfield as well as Sheffield. Patients come from all over the country and sometimes from abroad for the specialist treatments for which the hospital is internationally recognised.
For the past 3 years, Rowley’s have held an annual Charity evening and raised thousands of pounds. On Tuesday 12th June 2012, our evening raised £3,078.49 with canapes and sparkling wine on arrival, a 3 course dinner, raffle and auction. Please click here to view some pictures from the evening. Many thanks to our suppliers who donated the following prizes on the evening: a Limited Giclee Print from Lynne Wilkinson, Brewery Tour at Thornbridge Brewery, Magnum of Prosecco, Vegetable and Cheese Hampers, Mixed Box of Wine from John Hattersley Wines, Vouchers for Avant Garde, Charlie’s Bistro and many more. The penultimate auction prize was a Porche Day for 2 at Silverstone.
Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity is proud to announce the launch of a new fundraising appeal to provide a brand new Cancer Research and Treatment suite at Weston Park Hospital – Do Your Bit. The new suite will combine a traditional chemotherapy treatment facility with a research unit, designed to administer pioneering cancer treatments as part of the hospitals clinical trials programme. The money raised from the evening at Rowley’s restaurant will contribute to the 1.3 million needed to be raised by the Cancer Charity to fund this fantastic unit.
