Flavours of India in Association with Curry Life

Curry Life approached Rupert Rowley early this year and invited him to join their Festival Team on a tour of India. Rupert saw this as a great opportunity to indulge his passion for Eastern Cooking and particularly curry spices. The trip to Chandigarh in northern India was a great success, and has inspired Rupert and his team at Rowley’s to join forces with Curry Life Magazine and some of the Chefs he met on the trip, to produce a “Flavours of India” evening. Rupert will be cooking alongside Abul Monsur, Syed Zohorul Islam and Adam Harper.

Pappadums & Chutney

STARTERS
Grilled King Prawns
King Prawns marinated in delicate herbs and spices; grilled and served with a lime coriander chutney.

Onion Bhaji
Tasty little onion balls flavoured with lightly spiced and fragrant chickpea flour batter.

Oregano Chicken Tikka
Boneless, skinless, chicken pieces marinated in lightly mixed spices, youghurt base sauce,
infused with oregano. Then grilled in Tandoori Oven.

Chicken Tikka Masala
Britain’s Favourite Dish. Chicken cooked in a slightly spiced rich creamy sauce.

Chicken Karahi
A North Indian dish with a rich masala sauce of garlic, ginger, onions, tomatoes, peppers, green chilies and fresh corriander.

Shatkora Lamb Curry
A popular dish of Bangladesh. Lamb cooked in a medium spiced sauce infused with imported citrus fruit from Bangladesh.

Sag Aloo
Fresh Spinach and Jersey Royal Potatoes cooked in mixed spices.

Dal A La Kent
Mixed red and yellow lentils tempered with an onion, garlic, cumin Dal Tarka.

Saahi Pilau Rice
