Head Chef Adam Harper is gearing up to defend his coveted silver ladle this year in our 2018 Battle of the Counties. For those of you that joined us last year you will know that Adam battled it out with Head Chef Rupert Rowley from Fischer’s Baslow Hall and of course co-owner of Rowley’s Village Pub and Steve Smith from The Freemasons at Wiswell. There could only be one winner though and we were pleased to announce the votes came in and it was our Head Chef Adam that snatched the prize from two great chefs!

This year is set to be even more special. Not only do we get one Michelin Star Chef Rupert Rowley returning to put his best dish forward but also Chef John Duffin from Leicestershire’s only Michelin starred restaurant: John’s House.

Chef John Duffin has returned to the family farm in Mountsorrel, after many years working in some of the country’s top restaurants, to open an exciting fine dining restaurant in Mountsorrel: John’s HouseHe offers exquisite ‘home grown’ food using produce grown on the farm and sourced from the local area.

Three award-winning chefs under one roof, it’s about to get interesting!
